Catterick Golf Club

Originally laid down in 1930 and redesigned in 1938 by the renowned Arthur Day, the Catterick course has undergone a series of developments that have increased its sophistication, enhanced its challenge and heightened its appeal.

Cunning and subtle design is now the hallmark of the 6378-yard, Par 71 course. Strategically placed bunkers and cleverly guarded enlarged greens work with the natural hazards of the undulating terrain to create a tough but rewarding test of skill for all standards of golfer.

The names of the holes give a hint of the hazards to be encountered when playing them. ‘Heartbreak Hill’, ‘Windy Corner’ and ‘Devil’s Elbow’, speak for themselves and give an indication of the challenge provided.

With many fairways lined by mature oaks, elms, copper beeches and conifers, the course is a delight to play.
